Service Description

This service is for individuals who are already in Canada and need to extend their authorized stay as a visitor or change their temporary resident category from worker or student to visitor before their current status expires. A Visitor Record is not a visa; it is a status document that sets a new date by which you may remain in Canada. Following the initial consultation, we review your current status, passport validity, purpose and requested length of stay, financial circumstances, family situation, immigration history, previous applications or refusals, and the reasons supporting your continued stay in Canada. We also confirm whether a Visitor Record is the appropriate application and discuss timing and any status-related concerns. If you decide to proceed, the scope of representation and professional fees are confirmed in a written Service Agreement before the full service begins. You will receive a case-specific document checklist and guidance on the evidence required. We prepare and review the application forms and supporting documents, including proof of current status, financial support, accommodation and evidence supporting the purpose of the requested extension. We also prepare or review explanations needed to present your circumstances clearly. Before submission, the complete application is reviewed for accuracy, consistency and potential concerns. The final file is reviewed with you and submitted only after your confirmation. We remain your authorized representative within the agreed scope, monitor the application after submission and assist with IRCC correspondence and file developments. Online meetings are arranged as needed, and communication remains open throughout the process by WhatsApp, email and telephone. If a complete application is submitted before your current status expires, you may generally remain in Canada under maintained status until a decision is made. However, changing from worker or student status to visitor does not extend your authorization to work or study beyond the expiry of your existing permit. The fees shown are professional fees for ANKA Immigration’s services only. IRCC/government fees, biometrics, translations and other third-party costs are not included. Fees may vary based on the number of applicants, previous refusals or case-specific complexity. A Visitor Record does not authorize re-entry to Canada. Restoration of status after expiry requires a separate assessment.
