Service Description

This service is for individuals who need to correct information on a Canadian work permit or request changes to certain conditions shown on the permit. A common reason for this service is the removal of medical-related employment restrictions. If your work permit contains conditions preventing you from working in occupations such as health services, childcare, or primary or secondary education because an immigration medical examination had not been completed, we can assess the appropriate process after you complete the required medical exam. IRCC allows eligible work permit holders in Canada to apply to have these job-related medical conditions removed. Following the initial consultation, we review your work permit, current status, medical examination history where applicable, the application on which the permit was issued, passport and supporting records, and determine the correct process for the requested change. We also distinguish between an IRCC administrative error, a request to remove medical restrictions, and a material change in employment that may require a new work permit rather than a simple correction. You will receive a case-specific document checklist. We prepare and review the required forms, supporting evidence and explanations, including proof of an upfront immigration medical examination where required. For medical-condition removal applications, the request must clearly identify the restrictions to be removed from the work permit. Before submission, the complete application is reviewed for accuracy, consistency and the correct procedural approach. The final file is reviewed with you and submitted only after your confirmation. We remain your authorized representative within the agreed scope and assist with IRCC correspondence and file developments. Fees may vary depending on the type of correction or condition change, status issues, previous refusals or other case-specific complexity.
